Article Submission Criteria
Submitting an article for consideration does not guarantee that it will be featured on the site. Once approved by the SecurityInsecurity staff, it may take several weeks for articles to appear on the site, depending on the overall quantity of submissions and availability of staff.
SecurityInsecurity staff are authorized to reject submissions at their discretion.
SecurityInsecurity reserves the right to remove articles at any time after being featured on the site.
Submissions to SecurityInsecurity.com are voluntary and are not monetized.
Submissions must not contain any content that may be considered offensive or questionable. This includes, but is not limited to: strong language, sexual material, political opinions, fake information, non-cited AI-generated content, contentious topics, slander, product marketing, promotions, personal information, company-sensitive or proprietary data, etc.
Credit must be given to original authors, artists, or creators if material is being derived from outside sources. It is the responsibility of the author to validate that any material submitted is free of any legal preclusions or restrictions. Written authorization from original authors, artists, or creators may be required for some content (such as photos, references, and other citations).
SecurityInsecurity does not discriminate on the basis of gender, religion, race, or other defining trait. Articles are published solely on the basis of quality and relevance to the community.
Authors cannot pay to be published on SecurityInsecurity.com. SecurityInsecurity does not accept affiliate submissions. SecurityInsecurity.com is an independent and sponsor-free online publication.
Submissions must be directly related to cybersecurity, personnel security, physical security, privacy, IT, or another technical job area. If an author is unsure about whether or not an article qualifies, they are encouraged to contact a member of the SecurityInsecurity staff.
Submissions should be no more than approximately 1000 words. Special exclusions may apply. Please contact a member of the staff for more information.
Submissions must be made through the online form in plain text. SecurityInsecurity will reject all emailed articles.
Attachments, links, embedded images/files, and any other non-text-based submissions will be automatically excluded from consideration.
Authors will be notified via email if their articles will be published on the site. Notifications are not guaranteed for rejected articles. Authors are encouraged to reach out if they have questions or concerns about their submissions.
There is no limit to the amount of submissions allowed per author.
Authors must provide their full legal name, email and job title at a minimum to be published on the site. Additional information may be provided at the authors' discretion.
SecurityInsecurity will never claim credit for any work submitted.
SecurityInsecurity may overlay photos or other advertising media to your submissions.
SecurityInsecurity may share links or references to your submission on social media platforms.
By submitting an article for consideration, you authorize SecurityInsecurity to publish your article, name, job title, and article title to the website and to share the same material on social media & marketing emails.
Anonymous submissions are not authorized on SecurityInsecurity.com
