Good day, Netizens. I hope you are all doing well. Today marks a very special day for me, as this is the day that I begin construction on my first website: SecurityInsecurity.com. It has been a goal of mine for years to develop a site that makes cybersecurity accessible and easy for users of all skill levels and backgrounds. Derived from humble beginnings, this site is already evolving into something much more nuanced than I ever imagined.
To start, I wanted to create a platform where I could offer my SecurityInsecurity consultation services to a wide distribution of people. Although I have spent the past several years offering these services in the New England area, I never had an effective means of booking sessions, managing schedules, or working out the finer details, now that is about to change!
While building out the site, I realized that I also had the ability to offer an added bonus for industry professionals. Specifically, I could give them a platform to publish their articles and blogs free of the traditional publication obstacles. From experience, I can attest that getting published through traditional channels is no easy feat, so providing an environment to share the work of others was something that I knew I needed to build into the site.
It was at this time that I reached out for help, and brought on additional collaborators to assist in the creation of the company and site.
As time progresses, I have high hopes of adding additional features to the site, such as a products page for cybersecurity merchandise sourced locally from industry pros, a SecurityInsecurity Podcast page (which is already under construction), and more.
Unlike many other cybersecurity sites, we do not offer any sponsorship options, and we are not owned by, or affiliated with any major corporations. We are a company by the people and for the people! We don't sell products, we sell peace of mind.
All I ask is that you continue to check in regularly, drop me a line if you want to chat, and support the page by spreading the word! Thanks for popping by.
Warm regards,
William H. Spettmann III
Love the articles! I have a request…As an, um, “older” adult, I’d love to see an article on what seniors can do to protect themselves in the cyber world. Love the site! Haven’t found the Easter eggs yet. :-)
